Saturday, October 27, 2001 is the ELEVENTH annual National Make A Difference Day.

November-December 2001
Adopt A Family Holiday Project
Individuals, businesses, organizations, and school groups in Santa Cruz and Watsonville can "Adopt" a Family for the Holidays. They can pick thefamily size and situation they want. In Santa Cruz, the wrapped gifts arebrought in the first two weeks in December and delivered by the adoptedfamily's case worker. In the Watsonville program, there is a directdelivery option where the gifts can be delivered directly to the family, or they can be brought in for delivery by volunteers. Santa Cruz Adopt AFamily is 427-5075 and Watsonville, 722-6708.

National Volunteer Week

The Human Race

Earn money for your favorite organization 75% of the money raised will be donated to the nonprofit agency of your choice. 25% will go to the Volunteer Centers.

Presented by Points of Light Foundation in partnership with The Corporation for National Service. For volunteer management, community volunteering and national service leaders in Volunteer Centers, National Service Programs, corporations, nonprofit organizations, government agencies and educational institutions.
