Volunteer Opportunities are listed on this page by category. Most require a commitment to the program or project of at least six months, and many requir training provided by the agency.

Internships

Internships are available to students attending college at a variety of public and private agencies. Most internships offer college credit as well as valuable experience in the students chosen field that can be used on a resume when looking for a paid position.

Retired Senior Volunteer Program:

The Monterey Bay Retired Senior Volunteer Program is administered by the Volunteer Centers of Santa Cruz County and places volunteers 55 years of age and older in volunteer positions in Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito Counties.

The benefits of RSVP membership include mileage reimbursement, a quarterly newsletter, and an annual recognition luncheon held each year in September. For more information on RSVP contact Carol McGuire at (831)427-5070.
